Outside of the office, we’re just as hardcore as inside. We’re ultramarathon runners, CrossFit athletes, and mixed-martial artists. We thrive on intensity and creating next-level results in everything that we do. When you work with our team, we want you to expect the best. Anything less wouldn’t be worth our time or yours. We push each other to be the best we can be, and we’re going to do the same for your business.

How we started

JungleTopp is a 100% black-owned business and we place a premium on hiring minorities and helping them build successful careers. We give our employees the ability to work from anywhere in the world. What matters to us is that they can get the job done to the best of their abilities and deliver exceptional client results.

Regarding our workforce and recruitment process, we engender the principle of diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB). Although diversity can be multivariate, intersectional, and complex, at JungleTopp, we define a diverse population to include a wide range of racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender identities; economic and geographic backgrounds; physical abilities; life, school, and career experiences; and political, religious, and personal beliefs. These and other important attributes reflect the complexity of our increasingly diverse community and workforce population.

Relatedly, while equity strives to identify the specific requirements of employees — needs that are related to ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and so on, inclusion is the achievement of a work environment in which all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success. On the other hand, Belonging is the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity.

We believe in the importance of cooperation for all. Our community recognizes the inherent worth and value of each person regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, political views, ability, socioeconomic status, and other identities or characteristics. While we encourage research and diversity in work approach and result delivery, we are committed to achieving our objectives regardless of identity or background.

We recognize the benefits of diversity and understand that diversity must be joined with equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging for all members of our community. Including a diverse set of backgrounds and perspectives at JungleTopp is essential to our ability to offer quality services to our clients, and have a positive impact in the sphere of digital marketing and advertisement.

We are committed to learning and supporting each other in our growth around the issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We all share a responsibility to respect the rights, differences, and dignity of others, and to sustain an environment that is conducive to fostering the highest levels of learning for all. This requires us to carefully examine our own practices and strive to create the kind of community we wish to see in other settings.

JungleTopp’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Goals

JungleTopp has adopted a detailed set of skills and competencies to guide not only our client-focused work but our most important operational element, our workforce. These goals are responsive to the expressed needs of our staff along with best practices in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging work in an ideal workplace.

While more and more companies are being proactive about diversity and inclusion, there’s still a lot of work that needs to be done to create a modern workplace where all employees feel safe, respected and valued. When it comes to attracting and retaining top talent from different backgrounds, races, and cultures, it’s imperative that businesses build and maintain a culture and community that gives everyone a voice.

These individuals bring fresh, new perspectives to your company and can drive creativity, innovation, and even profitability. But above all else, your company has a moral obligation to ensure minority employees feel comfortable at work. Every day your employees show up to work, they deserve to feel their opinions, thoughts, and beliefs are valued and that they won’t be treated unfairly based on how they look or how they identify.

Ways diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging is fostered in JungleTopp

Here are a few examples of how we prioritize diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging to create a work environment where each and every employee belongs.

  • Committing to diverse hiring practices without prejudice.
  • Educating employee education through training courses on unconscious bias, micro-aggressions, respect, and leadership teaches our employees how to be mindful of others in the workplace and speak up against injustice.
  • Creating employee resource groups that usually address the needs of underrepresented groups in the workplace ethnic extraction and sexual orientation.
  • Investment in our employee growth by introducing internal mentorship programs or offering tuition reimbursement and professional growth stipends.
  • Auditing our internal policies help accommodate the diverse work style and needs of our employees.
  • Having inclusive company holidays to accommodate the diverse sets of holidays and occasions of our employees.
  • Building an inclusive office space.

However a company chooses to invest in DEIB, it should be known that change doesn’t happen overnight. While it can take a long time to see the impact of your DEIB initiatives, it is important to take pride in the fact that your company is taking steps to build a workplace and culture that treats all employees fairly and equally.

At JungleTopp, having embraced diversity with inclusion, we craft innovative connections with our workforce that transcends conventional means of interaction. With equity and a sense of belonging, our team is well-posed to work with forward-thinking brands.
